Hosting an Alzheimer Coffee Break® is easy
This fall, on September 16, 2010, the Alzheimer Society’s national fundraiser will be celebrating its 15th anniversary! This fundraiser is a fun, social event that is easy to organize. The Alzheimer’s Coffee Break® is just that – A Coffee Break®.
Where and When can a Coffee Break® be Held?
It can be held in your workplace, home, church, business, service club, community hall, or school. Choose a date – the national Coffee Break® day is on Thursday September 16, 2010, but if this date doesn’t work for you, feel free to pick a different day through the months of September and October. The next part is easy – invite your friends over by phone or email, put up posters at work, or hang a notice on the community bulletin board asking people to stop by for coffee and make a donation to the Alzheimer Society. It’s easy to host a Coffee Break® - contact your local Alzheimer office or click here to host a virtual Coffee Break.
Coffee Break® and your Computer
Email - it’s so simple to contact a large number of people in minutes; you can use your email to invite people to your event and you can also encourage people to make a donation to your Coffee Break® with online giving.
Online giving simply means that your friends, family and co-workers can make a pledge donation to you on their computer using their credit card. You can email friends and family near and faraway and you can customize your page to include a photo and message, and create a page to honour someone touched by this disease. If your friends cannot make your Coffee Break®, they can still support your event. Click here to get started. |
